Atalanta
According to Greek myth, Atalanta was the name of a warrior woman and heroine of the Calydonian Boar Hunt. She had many suitors and said that she would marry the one who beat her in a foot race. Meleager was able to beat her by dropping golden apples which distracted her.
The name may mean "balanced".
Vanessa atalanta is the biological name for the Red Admiral butterfly.
