Jasper
Jasper is a stone composed of silica with various impurities that determine its coloration. It polishes up to a nice shine and can easily be carved into vases, trinkets and other items. The name means "spotted or speckled stone" from the Greek iaspis. Jasper is one of the traditional birthstones for the month of March.
