About the name Arche
Arche, (Greek ἀρχή) was one of the four muses of a somewhat middle period of ancient Greece together with Thelxinoē, Aoide, and Melete. The word Arche means "beginning, the source, the origin."
I am having trouble discovering what Arche was the muse of, but perhaps she was the muse of those ceremonies that marked the beginning of things?
Although a muse is, of course, female the name Arche could be used for a boy as well.
