About the name Eranthis
From the Greek ἔαρ éar, "spring" and ἄνθος anthos meaning "flower", Eranthis is the genus name of early spring-blooming flowers in the buttercup family, commonly known as winter aconite. (Though their leaves resemble aconite, and they indeed toxic, eranthis should not be confused with baneful true aconite.) These cheery yellow flowers are among the first to appear in the springtime, often pushing up right through the snow and though the plant will disappear within two or three months, its hardy roots will survive through the summer and the flowers will reappear again year after year in the early spring.
Erantha, Eranthus, Erantis
